Arreis Platform – Terms of Use

​These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of Sierra Legal’s online document generation system (Arreis Platform) made available to you by Sierra Legal Pty Ltd ACN 140 725 060 (“Sierra Legal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

​Each reference in these Terms to User, you or your is a reference to the individual, company or organisation that has visited, read, or is using the Arreis Platform and/or its associated services.


Arreis Platform and Licence

The Arreis Platform allows Users to access and generate legal documents from template documents made available on the platform (“Services”).

​Sierra Legal has taken reasonable steps to ensure the templates are accurate and appropriate, but the legal, taxation, accounting and commercial effects of a document vary depending on circumstances.
The Services do not include any review by Sierra Legal of the documents that you generate.
You are responsible for reviewing documents for errors and suitability and should seek legal, taxation or accounting advice where appropriate.

We can provide specific legal advice upon request, subject to a separate engagement.

​When you sign up and accept these Terms, Sierra Legal grants you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, non-sub-licensable licence to use the Arreis Platform in accordance with these Terms (“Licence”).


Acceptance of Terms

Please read these Terms carefully.
You are taken to have accepted these Terms by:

    • clicking “I Agree”;
    • logging into the Arreis Platform; or
    • using the Arreis Platform (including generating any document).

    If you do not agree, you must stop using the Arreis Platform immediately.

    ​Sierra Legal uses certain third-party platforms to operate the Arreis Platform. Additional terms from these providers (“Third Party Terms”) are listed in the Appendix and may change from time to time. You are deemed to have accepted the Third Party Terms when you use the platform.

    If there is an inconsistency between these Terms and any Third Party Terms, these Terms prevail.


    Privacy and Personal Information

    We respect your privacy. Our Privacy Policy is available at https://www.arreis.com.au/privacy.

    ​When using the Arreis Platform, we may collect personal information such as your name, email, and phone number.
    This may be used for:

        • providing the Services;
        • monitoring and improving the platform;
        • administering your account;
        • enforcing these Terms;
        •  marketing; and
        • other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

      We may create anonymised data from your usage for analytical purposes.

      You warrant that any personal information provided to us may be used and disclosed as set out in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.


      Signing Up

      To use the Arreis Platform, you must create a User Account.

      Users must:

          • not create multiple accounts;
          • not share login credentials; and
          • be at least 18 years of age.

        You must provide accurate registration details, including your name, email, and password.

        You are responsible for all activity under your account unless caused by Sierra Legal’s negligence.

        If you suspect unauthorised use or impersonation, you must notify us immediately.


        Account Security

        Keep your password secure and confidential.
        If your credentials or device are compromised, you must:

        1. reset your password (must include at least three of: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol; 8–64 characters), and
        2. notify us at info@arreis.com.au.

        We may notify you if unauthorised access is detected and, if required by law, report it to authorities.

        We are not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from your device being hacked.


        Fees

        Access may begin with a free trial, determined at Sierra Legal’s discretion.
        Any ongoing fees will be specified in a separate legal cost agreement.


        Your Use of the Arreis Platform

        Your right to use the Arreis Platform is personal and non-transferable.
        You must not:

            • breach any law;
            • provide false or misleading information;
            • copy, modify or reproduce any part of the Arreis Platform except for normal operation;
            • reverse engineer or decompile it;
            • interfere with its security or operation;
            • impair functionality or access unauthorised documents;
            • transmit harmful or unlawful content; or
            • use it to develop a competing product or service.


          Accessibility

          We aim to maintain 24/7 availability but access may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons.
          To the extent permitted by law, Sierra Legal is not liable for losses due to downtime.


          Use with Your Device

          The Arreis Platform requires compatible software, internet access and updates.
          You are responsible for ensuring your device and network meet technical requirements and for any associated costs.


          Intellectual Property Rights

          Copyright in documents generated via the Arreis Platform remains with Sierra Legal.

          ​The source code, templates, text, graphics, software, and other content are owned by Sierra Legal or its licensors.
          You must not reproduce or use them for resale or for creating similar services.


          Disclaimers

          Sierra Legal does not review documents generated through the platform.
          The Arreis Platform is not a document repository — you must save copies independently.

          We make no warranties regarding:

              • suitability of documents;
              • virus-free operation; or
              • performance of upgrades.

            We are not responsible for issues arising from internet or network disruptions.

            Third Party Products or Services may be used to deliver the platform. We do not warrant their continuous availability or defect-free performance.


            Limitation of Liability

            To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the lesser of:

                • the amount allowed under Professional Standards Legislation, and
                •  three times the total fees received for the Services (exclusive of GST).

              Sierra Legal is not liable for losses caused by your own negligence.


              Account Suspension or Termination

              We may suspend or terminate your access if:

                  • you breach these Terms;
                  • we are required by law;
                  • we discontinue the Service.

                We may suspend your account if we suspect fraud or security issues.
                Either party may terminate on 30 days’ written notice.

                No liability arises from termination.


                Changes to Terms and Platform

                We may update these Terms with 14 days’ notice (via email or through the platform).
                If you continue using the platform after the notice period, you are deemed to accept the changes.

                We may also modify the platform’s design, features, or functionality at any time.


                General

                These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
                You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

                Failure to enforce any right does not waive it.
                If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed without affecting the remainder.

                ​These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding your use of the Arreis Platform, except where a legal costs agreement applies.

                ​“Related body corporate” and “related entity” have the meanings given in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

                Sierra Legal enters into these Terms in its own capacity and as trustee/agent for its related entities, employees, agents and contractors.

                Appendix – Third Party Terms

                Sierra Legal uses third-party software to provide the Arreis Platform.
